Default 2011 LS Stereo Upgrade Questions

Not technically a Tahoe/Suburban, but just bought a 2011 Avalanche without the Bose system and I figured this forum was more active. The stock stereo sounds absolutely awful, so an upgrade is the first thing on my to-do list. I know I need to get some adapters. Without further ado, here's the questions I have about the upgrade in no particular order.

How are the front door speakers and tweeters handled? Are they treated as one speaker? Should they be replaced with components? Separately? If I replace the door speakers with a set of 2/3-way speakers will I run into any issues? Will all aftermarket tweeters fit in the pillars? I'm going to get the JL Stealthbox, does anyone have any good suggestions on where to place the amp? When wiring up a reverse camera, is there an optimal way to run the wiring into the cab?

The platform of asking question after question like this seems needy to me, but I couldn't think of a better/more concise way to do it. I will appreciate any and all help that I can get. Thank you.
