2011 Tahoe 4WD - Maintenance questions
Hi there,
I bought an 2011 Chevy Tahoe LT 4WD (5.3L V8 LMG) with 151k miles in the U.S. and imported it to Germany. Its currently in process of street legal conversation.
I do have a few questions.
My plans as soon the car is finally released to me:
Q2: Anything else you would do? Or you think that's too much?
Q3: Does anyone can provide me a link with a maintenance schedule overview?
Thanks a lot for any input!
Stay healthy!
Regards
Niels
I bought an 2011 Chevy Tahoe LT 4WD (5.3L V8 LMG) with 151k miles in the U.S. and imported it to Germany. Its currently in process of street legal conversation.
I do have a few questions.
My plans as soon the car is finally released to me:
- Replace all oils and fluids (engine oil, transmission fluid in transmission and transfer case, differential oil and coolant)
- Replace all filters (Royal Purple engine oil filter, ACDelco transmission filter, K&N engine air filter)
- Replace all spark plugs (NGK) and spark plug wires
- Permanently disable AFM. That will be done by a U.S. car tuning specialist called Kraftwerk
- Regarding engine oil change: My plan is at the 1st oil change I use a strong cleaning additive called Liqui Moly Oil Sludge Flush and when I completed the 1st oil flush and I refill the oil, I want to add Liqui Moly Hydraulic Lifter Additive. When the car is due for the next oil change I want to use RAVENOL Professional Engine Cleaner to clean the engine once more and with the 2nd oil filling I want to add TriboTEX Original .
- Regarding coolant change: My plan is to use a coolant flush like RAVENOL Professional Radiator Cleaner and after that add RAVENOL Professional Radiator Stop Leak or Liqui Moly Radiator Stop Leak to the new coolant.
- Not planning a transmission flush. But I decide that when I see the old transmission fluid draining out. If it looks horrible, I might refill it and do a complete flush.
- I also plan to use some fuel additive called BASF Keropur to clean intake system, injectors, ...
Q2: Anything else you would do? Or you think that's too much?
Q3: Does anyone can provide me a link with a maintenance schedule overview?
Thanks a lot for any input!

Niels
