Default 2002 Suburban LT 4X4 Transfer Case Question

My 2002 Suburban (push button 4x4) has eaten another transfer case and I'm looking for a replacement. Someone in my neighborhood is parting out a 2002 Silverado 1500 and has the transfer case. Using the vin decoder on this form it shows my transfer case as "New Venture 246". Decoding the vin on the silverado shows "New Venture 246, New Venture 261LD". Is there a way to know which transfer case the vehicle was equipped with? The vehicle is gone now and the round tag on the transfer case is missing. There is a white rectangular tag with "60SM NOAL105005" and "SM 39069" printed on it.

Thanks

I would say it is a 246, the 261 from what I have seen was used in 3/4 and one ton trucks with the duramax diesel and is manual shift. So if your burb is a 1500 you should be good to go.
