2011 Tahoe- Exterior Door Handles Paint Peeling (Black)
Tahoe & SuburbanThe power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.
2011 Tahoe- Exterior Door Handles Paint Peeling (Black)
2011 Chevy Tahoe (Black)- All of my exterior door handles paint is coming off from the inside portion door handles and making its way around to the exposing side. I noticed several other tahoes/suburbans in my neighborhood and driving around have the same issue. Wondering if anyone has used the aerosol solutions from GM or 3rd party solutions such as touchupdirect to spray paint their door handles? Or another other recommendations which I am current reaching out to a paint shop to get a quote. Took a look at plasti dip/auto dip as alternative solutions but I would like it to be spray painted so I can resell the vehicle next year. Any other recommendations or feedback? Thanks.
Paint is base coat / clear coat. I would mask off and repaint with base/clear myself.
My LTZ has chrome handles and they are notorious for the mounting bosses that hold the handle onto the door breaking. I've had to change 2 of them.
Thanks and appreciate the recommendation. Any recommendations for where to purchase the paint/clear coat from? I am looking at touch up direct which they offer a KIT that includes everything. Was wondering if their is a specific brand that GM users use or any paint will do if it is done right?
