2012 Chevy Suburban 1500 - Engine hot/AC off warning light
Looking for some help. I have a 2012 Chevy Suburban 1500 that had a small crack/leak in radiator housing. I replaced radiator in Nov 23'. Refilled coolant through reservoir tank and topped off as vehicle warmed up until tank is filled to proper level. Within a few days of driving with new radiator we experienced an "Engine hot/AC off" warning light on the DIC. Temp gauge dropped to 0 even though engine was at normal operating temps at time of warning light. I started with changing ECT temp sensor on the block as well as splicing a new ECT temp sensor plug onto the factory wiring harness ( Both were Dorman). With new sensor, sensor plug and resetting the battery, all was well for a couple of days then the warning light tripped again. At this point I replaced the Dorman ECT sensor with a AC Delco sensor, as well as a new AC Delco thermostat. Reset the battery, and again good for a couple of days and then Engine hot/AC off warning light again. Now I just replaced the Dorman ECT sensor plug with a AC Delco plug so everything with GM genuine parts and within 10 miles, warning light back on.
Anyone out there experience this before, and know what the root cause is?
