2012 Tahoe
I just bought a 2012 Tahoe and I was wondering if anyone has put an aftermarket exhaust system in. I don't care for the stock exhaust and want to tell my wife it can improve gas mileage but not sure if that is the case or not. So I am wondering what the Pro and Cons others have had with aftermarket exhaust.

Be careful what you wish for. I got a Gibson on my tundra. And it sounds mean. But for long highway trips. I get sick of listening to it. My advise is try to stay subtle. They have a resinator eliminator that gives the chevys a deeper tone. Similar to the tone of the Yukon.

Welcome to the forum.
First it won't improve mpg. Might if you got a tune but probably not much even then.
I went w/ the SLP resonator that has dual polished st-st side exit tips. Sounds about the same as a stock GMT800. Nice at idle and no drone at any speed. Lot cheaper than a catback system.

I have the Corsa Touring on my 07 Tahoe. I did not see any improvement in gas mileage. But I love the sound. I had the Corsa Sport version previously, which is a bit louder, still sounds great, but when the AFM went into 4 cyl mode, there was an annoying, tiny bit of drone. Although Corsa says their systems are drone free, I could still hear a tiny bit of it, and it was enough to annoy me, but dont get me wrong, it was a very tiny bit of drone, and I'm very OCD about drone. lol! The quality of the Corsa systems are excellent and their customer service was aweseome! But their systems are quite expensive, be forwarned! lol!
