Default 2012 Tahoe question

Is the locking rear diff standard equipment? I can not find it as an option. It's not listed on window stickers. I see it mentioned only on the z71 pkge.

No, it is not standard equipment. However, it is available on the LS and LT with the All-Star Edition and Texas Edition.

its also standard on the ltz and z71 texas edition is only available in texas.

i always considered myself well versed on this vehicle as i have had so many but i must say the 2012 brochure sucks. the website for build it youself sucks.

they are not informative at all, there is no description for what you get between the lt and ltz for all practical purposes. the thining out of the simplest of options and popular colors is a true shame. whoever picked topaz blue or that ice blue from 2011 vs a navy should be FIRED.

the grouping of options compeling the purchase of undesirables is nonsense too. i understand cost savings but requiring a sunroof....really?

i ordered a suburban and tahoe today. i have been a chevy guy for 28 years now.
i have ordered a 2 new cars every 3 years for 28 years. i think i ordered my last 2 today.

i enjoyed leasing. the 2010's are the first i bought since 1989. i am sorry you have had such bad luck with your truck but i have had relatively few problems, in all the vehicles i have owned. i treat every truck as if i owned them. mobil 1 every 5000 miles. dealership service for brakes. oil changes. i actually fix most scratches i put on the paint.

i usually put about 30000 miles or less on them. i simply enjoy these trucks.

Go here and you can find any information you want to know about standard equipment, equipment packages, specs, colors and options.

Model Information - Online Ordering Guide

BTW I think Louis with GM customer service is wrong according to the ordering guide. The locking differential is standard with the LT and LTZ and only available with the LS if you add the All-Star or Texas Edition package. I guess all of this is to late if you have already ordered.

louis i think you are terrible representative just like all the local reps i have spoke to .. you pretend to help people but your company is pure garbage.. you guys pick and choose who to help with you junkie products.. i regret ever buying this piece of *&^% truck.. nothing but problems.. i am suing for the injuries my family has suffered for the door handles that are made from razor blades... I hate you GM.. next truck will be a japanese.. at least they don't require me to beg for warranty.. oh wait.. they don't need to go to the dealer every day maybe thats why hahahahah. horrible company.. horrible employees....

one last question.. How do you guys sleep at night, knowing you cut little girls fingers with cheap sharp components and then tell me to *%$& off when i ask for warrant.. heartless monsters..

Relax Sam, the 'reps' are only here to tell us what we already know. I liken them to a parrot.

Squawk:

See your dealer

Squawk:
this is what the **** poor excuse for a web site says

Squawk.

The fact is GM hasn't made the top 10 list for quality / reliability in... well... ever that I know of lol.

the volt is a joke, and the company should have gone under. But since we are all socialists now...

Thanks Louis.

I do think these will be last 2. I can't even get a decent blue now. This is disappointing to say the least.
