Default 2014 suburban humming.

Hello,

I have a 2014 suburban with about 180.000k on it. Recently started humming on the left when steering to the right. So assuming it was another hub, replaced that (together with control arm and ball joint). To my suprise still humming after the new hub (also there was no play in the old hub that got changed out, which I found strange.). Changed out the CV axle now as well, still the humming noise. Noise is clearly on the left side, almost disapears when steering left, very loud when steering right. Sounds like a bearing, even got the impression it given a little vibration. Any Ideas, what this might be?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Joris

Does the hum change frequency with speed? Any changes as you accelerate or slow down (louder/softer)? Not there at all going straight?

it is there going straight but louder turning right and not there turning left. Starts at about 50km/h louder when going faster. Not the acceleration or decceleration changes noise, just the actual speed...

Have you tried rotating tires on that side to rule out tire noise?

Solved! Strange as it may seem it was the hub on the other side and no I did not reverse sides in the discriptions before!
