Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

FWIW, my wife's 2013 Sequoia doesn't have any way to lower/raise the seats manually. And since it has an IRS, you don't lose 5" of head space.

Default Irs

I had really thought the 2015 would have had an IRS...

shame.

I have the power flippy/fold seats on my 2009 LTZ... and 6 years later they still work just fine. I don't think you're looking at a high failure rate part.

Default depends

capacity or real world?

I've read towing with IRS increases tire wear more than with a solid axle.

But, even if the Tahoe can tow, let's say 10k, I'd wager only 10% or less of people even tow, let alone anywhere near capacity, or often.

So, you can have a comfortable ride 100% of the time, increase rear room, vehicle stability, while giving up 2k in towing capacity, and some tire wear... seems like a win to me.

But... GM says Profits over all, and has given it a body overhaul, but kept the back axle... still a solid axle.

What about this option? Tahoe gets a IRS. Suburban 2500 gets a Solid Axle... best of both worlds.
