2015 Suburban Fold Flat Seats
After a long long long wait I finally got my new 2015 Suburban to replace my 2008. Should have done some more research I guess....
Fold flat seats will only function under the most stringent of conditions. All must be correct.
1. Driver must be of average height or shorter.
2. Second row passengers must agree to always return seats to their full and upright positions before exiting.
3. Third row passangers must lower the (pain in the back of you flop into the seat without raising) headrests upon exit.
4. The interior temperature of the vehicle must be above 25 C.
My wife made me remove the rear storage compartment (GMs milk crate they use to sell fold flat seats) for two reasons.
1. So she doesn't have to pick her groceries up of of the parking lot. The compartment is a sloped towards the rear. Now I know why they threw in the cargo net.
2. In order to fit my son's goalie equipment in.
I miss my spacious Suburban with seats that I could fold or remove.
I guess it was designed more for a part time drywall contractor than hockey mom.
PS. If anyone has an idea for covering the holes in my floor and the rear of the third seat, let me know. Or would like to buy a dune storage compartment.

cargo
Yea, it really should have a IRS.
While (GENERALLY) speaking, towing with a solid rear is better, I'd wager (most) people don't tow with these things.
I do, but I'm 5% of the population...
I built a 4x4' (approx) box for my Tahoe. I took out the 3rd row when I bought it.
Just me and the wife.
I'll see if I can't get a pic.
