Default 2015 Suburban metallic clang in left rear hub

So have not been to the dealership yet. Jacked up the vehicle and took the wheel off, inspected brakes and sprayed all bushings with lithium grease. Noise did not change or quit. The noise is internment and can be heard at low speeds. It is a a metallic cling or clack, and sounds like it is in the rotation of the hub.

Anyone ever heard this of know what it is?

Thanks, Jerry

rear disc or drum brakes.
if disc make sure the backing plate has clearance from the rotor. make sure the abutment clips in the caliper bracket aren't hitting the rotor. make sure the pad wear indicator isn't hitting the rotor

So it has rear disc brakes, I verified the pads were in good shape, they have about 15-20k miles on them. The wear indicators do not seem to be touching. I am going to take it back apart and make sure the backing plate has clearance. Thanks

Rear disc then pull the rotor off to check if parking brake inside the rotor hat has an issue. I've had park brake linings come off the shoes and float around inside the rotor making noise.

I hope to get the wheel off this evening, I will also take the rotor off to see what might be going on inside.

Thanks!

So we found the issue. Apparently when I had to plug my tire a couple months back, the metal I got out was just a piece of what I ran over. I had a screwdriver in my tire and it was falling from the top of the tire hitting the rim making a clang. Fixed, no issues are left. Thanks

Dang that's a weird thing to happen. Get your tire fixed right with a inside patch not the jam in the plug fix. Radial tires squirm and those push in plugs don't hold up and leak after a while.
