My 2015 Suburban Navigation system maps are missing a major highway that has been around for at least three years. Has anyone else experienced this?
Chevy says there are no updates for the 2015 Suburban. It seems ridiculous that the maps would be that outdated.![Mad](https://chevroletforum.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif)
Any advice appreciated.

I have a 2009 Tahoe and GM stopped selling updates to it... years ago. I couldn't even drive HOME because my road didn't exist until 2008.
I'd suggest an iphone/pad with WAZE or google maps... they are pretty sweet.
WAZE even tells you where the cops are...
My new car's 'headunit' (if you can call it that) uses google maps and live traffic. I even get property lines and satellite view. (Ohh, and I can type or say the address while moving).
GMs tech has never impressed me.. it always felt like 'just enough' or 'that will do'... I work in the Information Technology field and demand cutting edge toys. I sometimes thought it was just me disappointed by GM tech, as if my standards were too high.
At least you have the 2015. my 09 looks down right etch-a-sketch by today's standards.
I do recall, at least long ago, there was a website where you could submit updates to them. NavTeq? NavTech? something like that, they provide the maps for GM or did and you could email them directly, but then wait and wish a brisk 2-3 years before it made it to a production DVD.
Speaking of, how are the 2015s updated? the 07-14 uses a dual layer DVD behind the headunit for the maps. I thought the 15 uses a hard drive? What's the update cycle? once a year? (which is about 100x too slow)

From what I gather from GM's nav site the latest maps they have are from 2012 as that is how far back you can go to see that there have been no new updates...maybe they really thought the world was coming to an end then ?
