Angry 2015 Suburban Retract running boards

My granddaughter jumped on retracting running boards while retracting. I believe gears stripped or motor ruined. How do I fix?

Motor assy. replacement. Boards must fully in the down position when changing the motor assy. If not fully deployed, you must take apart the old one while on the truck and manually turn the motor armature to extend them before removing the old one as replacement comes in the open position from the factory.
This is from the manual for my '11 with the power boards.
Rock Auto has them with and without the mounting bracket.

Hmmmm - why doesn't our 2011 Yukon XL Denali have power running boards? We just bought this in May, figured this would have more gadgets than a Suburban or Tahoe....

I say that about power seats, power windows, power locks, self-opening and closing tailgates, etc. As Yul Brynner would say: "Etc., etc., etc."

I do like the roll-up windows and manual seats, door locks, mirrors, etc. on my 1998 Frontier and 1988 Mazda B2200. My 2004 Frontier has power windows and locks which I don't like the power windows and power locks on my 2004 Frontier, especially hate that there's no lock cylinder on passenger door.

I like the power boards, but they don't like zero temps. They do get frozen from slush.
