Default Leaky 2015 Burb

Just returned from Blades Chevrolet in Mount Vernon, WA. These guys are great..........but they are a car dealership so take it with salt. My 2015 LTZ Burb had a major leak from the rear passenger door pillars. They explain "showed" to me that where the rear window body panel meets the roof and door panel the design flaw allows the water to be funneled into the body though a large diameter hole about the size or a quarter. This hole is used to align the body panel? That part made no sense to me but what do i know. They cut a 6"x8" square out of the rear left body pannel for the GM engineer to take a look at it. Said this could be happening in all 2015s to include GMCs and Cadillac I would assume.

Default 2015 Yukon Denali

I've had a 2015 Yukon Denali for about 5 months now. After a morning rain, my wife noticed a leak in the overhead console just above the rearview mirror (photo attached). We do have a sunroof, but the leak is not in the door pillar like some of the other posts I've seen in this thread. The dealer could not replicate the problem. Has anyone experienced a leak in this location?

Yup. Me too. Driving to work yesterday morrning felt a drop on my hand that was on the steering wheel and thought I was dreaming or crazy. After the second drop I investigated. There was water dripping from the bracket of the sunvisor drivers side! brought it into the dealer right away and they knew what it was. It's becoming very common. they temporarily sealed under the shark fin antenna and ordered a new one.

in2pro and raress9596,

I appreciate the tip very much. The dealer could not replicate the problem but decided to replace the seals in the sunroof. The sharkfin never occurred to me, but looking at the roof now it makes perfect sense. I'll mention this to the dealer and ask them to investigate. Thanks again!

Believe it or not the sun roof is designed to "leak" or at least accommodate water that comes around the glass, that is why it has the gutter and drain tubes...
Please do follow up with what they find

I'll tell you the truth the tech looked it up somewhere and found that G.M. is aware of the antenna seal leaking. They also told me this is the second one they have seen. The temporary fix using silicone till the new seal comes seems to work because I took it through a car wash yesterday and it didn't leak at all.

Angry 2015 Tahoe LTZ Interior Leak Update

Update on my 2015 LTZ journey.

Ice conditions and freezing temperatures have kept water drips from interior drivers side headliner at bay. Hope when it warms up i wont see a problem. Cant replicate for dealer if water is frozen.

Interesting though is the fact that my OnStar hardware crapped out now. Tried to make an emergency call only to be told OnStar could not connect. Nice work guys!!!

OnStar support says its not a software thing but to go back to dealer for hardware replacement. Wonder if the water leak is related to it?
