Two companies, could be more, have come up with sensors that allow you to R&R those Mag Ride shocks with standard shocks. X-Enginerring sells a kit for $425.00 that includes a ride sensor and level sensor for 4 wheels. Replace the factory sensors with these and the computer thinks the Mag Ride shocks are still on the vehicle. I installed AC Delco OEM shocks and my Tahoe rides great.

Hello All,
i have a tahoe 2016 LS and its ride is so bad and harsh. I think the problem is from the shocks. They were designed to dcrease vehicle up and down movements while on a high way. They are very very stiff, i compared a Tahoe shock and a Ford 150 shock, the later was very soft compared to the first one. When i push the tahoe shock on the ground upside down, it doest move untill i keep pushing with all my wight while the ford shock can be pressed easealy with my hand fingers. So, i think the problem is from the shocks, they do not absorb the first shock and that what you feel when you drive over a dumb, the first shock is transmitted to your body, it seems that there is a delay in absorbing the dumbs.

the solutions in my opinion,
radical solution: installing a tubdra or f150 coilover on the tahoe
i was thinking about installing some elastic layers between the tahoe coilover and the chasis but i do not know about its validity
