Opened a case with GM Corporate and CC'd the CEO Mary Barra, shortly after i talked to someone from the corporate office who handled communications with the dealership. Come to find out they installed an aftermarket motor mount on my truck causing the problem....it should have been replaced with an OEM motor mount which contains hydraulic fluid and dampens the engine movement. Once it was replaced my truck went back to idling smoothly just like it did when i first owned it. Stay far away from any aftermarket motor mounts on the 6.2L and shame on the dealer for putting an aftermarket part on my vehicle initially....i could understand if it was a private mechanic but not at a GMC/Chevy dealership.
I want to thank you immensely for sharing this info. I've been having the same issue with my 2018 Tahoe Premier. With no check engine light on, I figured it wasn't an issue that any sensor could detect, so i checked the air filter, upgraded to higher fuel grade, and ran fuel system cleaner thru. Nothing helped. I started to believe it was something mechanical, so I scheduled an appointment with the dealership for Thursday, 4/10/25. With this information I can go in confident of what I need and what to expect. Thanks again
