2018 Tailgate not closing

2018 Tailgate not closing
Hi
Wife's 2018 Suburban power tailgate will open in auto but will not close. When close button is depressed, can hear the actuator but it will not move the tailgate.
Has to be manually closed.
Any suggestions?
It is beyond the warranty with 45k miles.
