Post 2020 Suburban Transmission Issues

Good evening to all of you. I'm asking for some advice. My wife's 2020 Suburban LT 4wd 5.3L stopped after driving about 30 seconds from home. I got a P0700 error code. It would go about 50 feet or so and then stop. It just came acted like it came out of gear and slowed to a stop. After several times of shutting the vehicle off. I managed to make it back home. It had fluid in it. It only has 104k miles on the transmission. A mechanic that looked at it says it may be the transmission control module. The error code indicates that if I understand the code correctly.

It appears that for this model it may be a transmission control valve body? I am not quite sure if it's located on the side of the transmission, or if it's inside the transmission, maybe access through the drain pan? I may consider installing it myself, but it appears the module has to be programmed, unless I purchase one already programmed. Can I drive it to the mechanic to get it programmed? Or will it not drive at all until it's programmed?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks to all.

Mark
