Default 2021 Tahoe Premier - Constantly needing to replace battery in FOB

New here and did try to search if this topic was covered already. Apologies if it had, really hoping it has.

Upon powering off the Tahoe, it reminds me to replace the battery in the fob. I’ve had the Tahoe for a year and have replaced the battery three times. Most recently yesterday and did not see the message after replacing. Not even 24 hours later and received the message again to replace the battery in the Fob.

Is having a faulty FOB unrealistic? Should I get a replacement FOB or anyone else experience similar and had something work for you?

Welcome to the forum. Have you checked the voltage of the batteries in the fob that you're replacing? If they are still at nominal voltage that's printed on the batteries then the message is in error. You should check the main battery voltage because the electronics can go haywire when it gets below 12 volts. A fully charged battery should be around 12.7 volts.

Starting with the 2007 model, Chevrolet started using the computer to control the alternator output. And they would just charge when absolutely necessary to keep the battery up. This was ostensibly to improve gas mileage. 🤔

yes, they have replaced the batteries, voltage was alway normal. Reprogrammed x2, said that when they did testing they showed interference at a near by gas station, replaced a part that received communication from the key fobs( sorry I don’t remember the name of this part) I would have assumed checked battery to vehicle. I will ask this question about the vehicle battery when they call me back.

So you're saying that the batteries removed from the key fob when it was indicated that they were in need of replacement still checked good?

Yes. They kept asking me where the vehicle is parked? Saying there is some kind of interference they defected when they checked it at a near by gas station? I told them in my garage with basic att Wi-Fi.
