2022 suburban blind spot monitoring?
We just bought a 2022 suburban and we’re told it t had blind spot monitoring along with the lane keep assist and what not. We’ll it doesn’t have the blind spot monitoring. The guy at the dealership said it looks like it has the sensors on the back of the car but the mirrors don’t have the light up part for it. He said it may be because Chevrolet didn’t have them available when they built the car because of the chip shortage and that they would probably end up doing a recall at some point to install that stuff? Is he blowing smoke or it this true? Also if not, is this something I can have installed? Thank you

haven't seen the new sub but the vehicles i have seen with. blind spot monitoring; the sensors are under the rear quarter panel wheel well area so they can't be seen externally. round sensors on the back that you can see are back up assists sensors.
don't want to give you bad info so look further into this
They don't build vehicles and forget to put options on them. You need to go higher up at the dealership.
have the dealer print out your build sheet.

Blind spot will have the symbol in the mirror glass itself that backs lights when triggered. Sensor is in the mirror.
It doesn't work all that well anyway. Guard rails, snowplow mounds and even road spray will trigger it.
It should show what packages were installed on the window sheet. If on the sheet and not installed, then you have a case and get it in writing for a possible retro fit.
I'd contact Chevy Customer support as well as dealer salesmen are professional liars.
