My new Tahoe doesn't seem to shift into a higher gear at speeds of 25 to 35 mph. When I let off the gas to coast to a stop sign or traffic light, I can feel the transmission slowing me down. This is horrible for fuel economy!! Does anyone know if this is by design or does my Tahoe have a problem?

 

you could test drive a new unsold one off the lot and see if it does the same thing.

David, welcome to the forum. If the one you test drive does it then ask a knowledgeable salesman why.
