Default 22's or 20's?

I have 2013 Tahoe with 45 series on 22's. It looks great! Not a fan of stiff ride and low gas mileage. Interested in OEM 20's with more tread on tire. Will I benefit from the change?

More side wall should result in a softer ride. The 20s on our LTZ seem fine. I believe you can go down to a 18" if you want. I think that's the smallest that will clear the brakes.

You can check tire rack and put in your car and it should tell you what fits.

Why would 22" wheels affect your gas mileage? I have them and get a solid 20mpg average hwy/city. Most 20" tires are the same low profile as 22"s, so I wouldn't expect much difference in ride quality between them.
