Default 40mm offset too much for a set of 22's???

Just wondering if anyone would know whether or not a set of 22's with a 40 mm offset would be a problem? I am wanting some new rims but i really want them tucked in under the fenders. I dont have any plans on lowering the truck either. Any input would be great. The rims are listed on ebay to fit 07 tahoes and silverados and they are eagle alloy 026 rims.

Default RE: 40mm offset too much for a set of 22's???

they will sit in for sure. might work if there 22x8, 8.5 , or 9 max. Also the back face of the wheel might have clearance issues with the calipers. a narrow tire would also have to be used
