4L60E Gearbox.
I can not select "Park" so my key is stuck in the ignition,
apart from that, the box is sweet I get all gears, no clunks smooth changes.

Can you narrow down whether problem is in trans or linkage to trans? I don’t know remember details but there should be linkage onto side of trans. If you disconnect linkage can you move shift lever into Park? Can you turn the lever on side of trans by hand?

Sabino, Thank you so much for the advice I did as you suggested and found out I could get all the gears and park by manually by going under the truck and selecting each gear by moving the disconnected gear lever, I found the fault (after unnecessarily replacing the Shift Interlock Solenoid $65 
). It was a small spring on the top of the steering collum which had slipped to one side stopping the selector locating in the slot for park.
