Default 4wd actuator

A Newbie here.
Hope I'm not duplicating this, as I was getting ready to send the first one the screen jumped and took me to another page, so if I am sending another question on the same subject, I apologize.
Anyway---I recently replaced the 4wd actuator on my 95 1500 suburban because it was engaged all the time. OK all was well for a while and now I find the "new" actuator has also failed with the same scenario. Is there something else I should check that could be causing these failures?

Thanks

Dennis

Dennis, are you sure the actuator is actually stuck or is your switch the problem? I had a similar problem, but it turned out that the switch just wouldn't go between 4Hi and 2Hi very well. I took it apart, cleaned it and everything has been working since.
