I've got a 2005 suburban. I get the service 4wd message everyday. Sometime when I turn it on its in 2wd. Other times it's in neutral, or there are no lights on. I don't have any issues driving it, is the switch just going bad. No matter what you push it doesn't change or even blink like it wants to.
