New guy here. Hello All.
So, my band is replacing the motor in our 2000 Chevy Suburban. It's a 5.3L. It still runs fine it just has a slight tick. I can buy this motor for $100.00. My question is; Is the 5.3 an LS motor? If so, do I need the puter/harness out of said vehicle in order to use this motor? I would more than likely go carbureted anyway, but you never know.<O

The tick is possibly coming from the valve train. I would probably do a rebuild on this motor anyway, as it has 200,000+ miles on it.<O</O<O</O
