Default 5.3L Flex Fuel Misfire

My 2008 Suburban has a misfire that the mechanics have been unable to detect. When the engine misfires: "Park Assist Off" flashes on the DIC, no check engine light comes on and the car continues to run unless you are stopped, then it dies. Place the car in "P" or "N" and it restarts immediately and I drive away. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thank you.

Does it only do it with regular gas or only flex fuel?

It does it with all gas. Per the mechanic, It does not set a code, because the check engine light does not stay on.

Does the misfire code tell you which cylinder it is?

The misfire does not turn on the check engine light or create a code.
