Hi,
I have a 96 burn with an unusual sound from the transmission. with the engine off and the rear jacked up i am hearing a squeal from the transmission. it sounds like dry rubber squeaking. its coming from inside the transmission sump. the oil level is good. if anyone has any ideas before i bring it to a transmission specialist it would be much appreciated.
Also I'm pretty sure i need to replace a rear wheel bearing. from watching various youtube videos I'm not sure if there are different bearing types (tapered, non tapered) mine has a ten bolt diff cover and is a semi floating 6 lug rear axle. any help on bearing size/type would be great,
