I need help. I recently got a 92 suburban 1500 and when i got it it would not go into third gear. It would just slip and felt like neutral. I suspected that the clutch packs were burnt up due to a disconnected tv cable. I pulled the trans and rebuilt it. new clutch packs new seals and a new corvette servo. I put the trans back in and connected and properly adjusted the tv cable. I also replaced the torque converter. However the truck is still slipping in third exactly like it was before. I dont know what to do now.

 

Could be a problem with the 2-3 shift valve in the valve body.

Easier to examine if valve body is removed. Let us know what you find, thanks.
