Default '93 Suburban Question

Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and have a question. We are getting a '93 Suburban with a bad motor. It is my uncle's and he said if we can find a motor it's ours. I need to know which years of motors will be a direct drop-in with no modifications to make it fit. So, which years of other 350's would be a direct drop-in? Thanks.

I'm moreso looking for the bottom end of the spectrum. What is the earliest year we can get that will be a direct drop-in? Thanks for that info...much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

Don't salvage yards have that kind of info?

Thanks. And yes they probably will but we just found out we could get this suburban yesterday and haven't had time to go around and check but since I can use a computer a lot more readily than going to a salvage yard to ask I figured I would ask here and get the info right away.

'87-95 should be a direct drop in, anything older and you will have to swap the heads or modify the 4 (2 on each side) innner holes on the intake.

Well we found a motor from an '87 Suburban that was rebuilt 10 years ago but only has 30,000 miles on it. It is also an EFI motor, and a 350. It should drop right in, correct? The guy said it's still in the Suburban so we could hear it run before we buy it.
