Default 95 Yukon TBI 5.7 TAC stops and trans slips don't wanna go

When the truck acts up the trans is slipping not all the way in gear or something. TAC goes dead and check guages light comes on. Changed cluster and problem continues. Only does this when it feels like it. Sometimes turn it off and start it again and its fine. I have bout 700 in it in the last two months. 285,000 miles so I had heads redone. New plugs, wires rotor and cap ,destributor, coil, map, knock sensor, both temp sensors, tps, fixed all grounds, I'm at my wits end. I have a outer out of same year Tahoe was wondering can I just throw it in or are there steps to take. Iv tried everything else even taking it to a shop for diagnosis but ran fine that day. Boggled
