my inside door handle quit working feels loose, not broken how hard is it to take the door panel off. thanks

Welcome to the Tahoe forum. Not familiar w/ the '96 but usually not terribly hard. Look for screws for the armrest. The panels are usually held on w/ plastic push fasteners and you can get a tool that w/ pry them loose or use a putty knife and screwdriver.

Once you take the screws out you need to lift up towards the roof to get it off.
