Unhappy '96 tahoe stumbles and no power

my 96 tahoe 5.7l vortec (totally stock/106k miles) is not running well. i have had 2 o2 sensors replaced recently (last 2 years) and the service engine light continues to come on intermittently. when driving the car accelerates off idle at part throttle but as soon as i push the pedal a little further it stumbles and sputters a little. no power at all. as the rpms go up it finally catches but power is still off. supposedly the mechanic did a tune up and replaced on o2 sensor, the plugs and wires, and the dist cap. it wasn't really running any good either before i took it in though. it seems like these sensors keep going bad or maybe i have a wiring issue? my next thought is to get the code reader so i can see for myself, maybe replace all the o2 sensors or try a different mechanic. i kind of gave up working on cars a while ago and depend on the mechanic to take care of things for me but it seems like there could be a lot of causes here.

thanks for any help you guys can offer.

Welcome to the forum.

Most auto parts stores will read ur codes for free. Might check fuel pressure.
