Default 97 k-1500 cooling system flush

Good afternoon, am trying to flush my cooling system, had to replace my 4 way vacuum heater valve and fluid is typical dexakill. Have had about 10 years but did matinance at dealership, full time superintendent and bar owner, had heart attack and found out I had cancer in 2013 and can't afford any more. But I have been motor head all my life, rebuilt motor last summer and tranny this summer. Truck has 230000+ miles and runs like champ. Have never had truck over heat or even overheat, keep radiator clean have oil and trans cooler. Any way the radiator drain is next to impossible to get to, is right above gear box with a number of hoses and wiring in way. Took old socket and cut grove to slid over valve and got quaterturn counter clockwise but nothing comes out. Have seen on iTunes where some have drain line installed that fits on side of radiator. Can't even find drain spout n mine. My radiator is completely covered everywhere by fans shroud etc. Was going to try and remove lower radiator hose but can't get to clamp. Ordered new clamp pliers, 24" flex shaft, can't find mine, but won't be here till next friday. Any idea or comments will be most appreciated. Yhanks
