Get a tune and that can be changed.

I've had mine up to 110 (GPS indicated) out in Utah. The truck accelerates surprising hard right into triple digits. I could've gone faster, but the rational side of my brain exerted its influence.

But now that I have tires with a lower speed rating, I keep it under 100.

Make sure you have that removable air dam on the truck. Too much air flow under the truck is definitely a concern.

Mine "tops" out at 97 as well, have you encountered the "Reduced Power" message ? My first encounter with that one, was on I-10, middle lane, heavy traffic, grandkids with me, running about 65, with everyone else going faster.
Then GM decides I should be going 15 mph. What a rude awakening.

My Denali would through the reduced power on me if my tank wasn't full because of some type of venting issue. But yeah I have had that happen. I kept the 69 dollar code reader on board and cleared my codes so it would reset.

MY new to me 2008 hasn't don't that yet, its like new anyways and nearly perfect. knock on wood.
