Default 97 power lock/unlock

Ok.... So I recently installed a viper autostart model 4105V. For the life of me I can't figure out how to make the power locks work.

From what I understand, the auto start supplies a constant 12v to the lock or unlock circuit. Which I've tapped into at the door boot. I know I've got the right wires, from the diagrams and from testing the actual circuit. After scratching my head a couple times and reading the auto start manual over and over, I discovered that both circuits are a positive connection.....

I read a form somewhere about the same issue, the guy bought a relay from radio shack and wired it up, worked great. I'm not that guy, lol, I too bought an automotive relay from radio shack and attempted to wire it up. I've tried every possible combination and still can't get it.

I'm not sure if I've even explained my problem in a way others can understand. Please help. Thank you in advance
