Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default 97 suburban

Hi I'm new here and have a question in regards to a 97 suburban 2500 4x4 with a 454 that I am considering buying. What kind of mpg is realistic under normal driving conditions? I think it has either 315/70/r17 or 305/65/r17 bfg atko for tire package. Looking at it as a extra vehicle that will be used mostly for family trips/trips a little further to get groceries and towing our sleds and boat. I've read that people get 13-16 out of it on the highway but from the past I only remember them getting 8-10mpg....

With a BBC, I's lean more to 10-12 hwy and 8-10 in town. And that's in good tune.
