97 Suburban A/C issue

97 Suburban A/C issue

A/C on this truck blows hot

Compressor cycles for a moment, then shuts off.

Low side pressure while compressor not running, pegs my low side gauge. I do not have a high side gauge.

Any help would be appreciated.

did some one put to much freon in? what is the max psi on your gauge?

alphabavo: Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like there is no freon in the system or the compressor is shot. If it truly is the compressor and you replace it, be sure to replace the receiver/dryer. Most compressor warranties require it anyway.
