Question 97 suburban no start. Need help please

Ok so here is where i am at with this. Back in Nov the fuel pump died. I dropped the tank and change out the sending unit, (i broke the original removing it),the fuel pump, and replace the fuel filter.

It ran great for about 2 months. then while i was out it would not start again. I ended up having it towed home.

Now here is what I have done. I went and cleaned the connector for the fuel sending unit and cleaned the grounding point.

on first try it started. i let it run for a bit and turned it off. then tried again. no good. just turned over. could not get it to start again.

that was a few days ago. today i went and borrowed a fuel pressure gauge. hooked it up. during pump running the gauge reads 60psi. after it drops to 55 and holds steady. tried to start and it ran. ???? ran again for a time seems to be running rough too. turned it off. fuel pressure at 50 and holding. waited 5 minutes. tried again. no start. fuel pressure with pump on still goes to 60 but drops to 50 when off now. now it will not start at all.

I am really confused. please help.
