Default 98 Suburban Turn Switch

I just changed the Turn Signal Switch on a 98 Suburban.
I don't know how much of a problem it is but the harness plug on mine shorted out and burned up the plug and ruined the spade plug.
Dealer and parts house wanted $270, used was $100 (yes, I went with the used).
Pop off the upper dash bezzle (tilt wheel down), unplug the light switch and 4 w/d plugs.
Push in the two prongs on the Emergency Barke release handle and remove, remove lower dash cover (4) screws on bottom and pop off.
Pull out the Tilt Lever, remove lower column cover (2, #20 Torx screws on bottom).
Remove upper column cover (2, male Torx screws on bottom of column).
Remove switch (2 #25 Torx screws, top and front, painted purple, the one behind steering wheel can be removed without removing the wheel by using a short 1/4 drive bit and small cresent to turn the socket).
Remove both lower column crash plates. (I don't know what else they would be, pretty beefy plates)
Remove (red) screw and unplug steering column harness from instrument harness.

Not a tough job, after I got into it.
