Default 98 tahoe cruise control problem

My 98 Tahoe cruise control started turning off and not working for 30 to 40 min. before it will work again. This started last summer then during the winter it worked fine. [sm=smiley29.gif][sm=smiley25.gif]
Anyone have an idea where the problem might be?

From your description, it sounds heat related. Some component is weak and the extra heat when it's warm outside causes something to fail until it cools off again. When it quits again, check for voltage at the fuse box (both sides of the fuse) whilethe cruise isnot working. If the voltage supply is good, then the cruise control module, which is under the hood next to the master cylinder, would be a likely suspect, along with connectors in the under the hood wiring harnesses that are involved with the operation of the cruise control.
