Default 98 Yukon won't Start - No Fuel

My 98 Yukon, 146K miles has intermitient starting problem. Happens one or twice per month. First time had it towed to mechanic, when it got there, it started and ran just fine. Next time, it started after some poking and prodding. Next time I jumped up and down on the bumper, it started OK. The last time 6 weeks ago, I had it towed again -- replaced fuel filter and fuel pump.

So here I am again, won't start after it sits for a while, never dies while it running. Chekced fuses, OK. Don't hear the fuel pump when ingnition is cycled.

Loose electrical issue? Any suggestions ?

Thanks

It may be that your ignition switch is on it's way out

If you live somewhere that a lot of rust is created, it could be the GROUND for your fuel pump. Ask the person that replaced the pump if there was a lot of dirt and corosion above the tank. There also could be a problem with the plug conection at the pump.

Good Luck, Dondobe
