99 Suburban 5.7L: misfire and wet plugs
Hi there,
I am new to the Chevy forum as my stepdaughter bought a 99' Suburban. It runs pretty good but has the following issues:
- A P1351 and P0308 code.
- A smell that the engine runs rich
- A slight misfire.
- Wet spark plugs #6 and 8, most likely gasonline
The truck needed a tune-up so I replaced the following:
- Spark plugs type AC Delco Rapidfire ones (gap 0.060)
- Replaced the plug wires with the Autozone ones
- Did a traditional oil change
- Replaced the ICM as it was the most common item on the P1351 list
I reset the CEL but I still feel a slight idle issue as a misfire. I need to get this truck through emissions ASAP so I was hoping I could get some ideas from anyone in regards to the misfire and the wet plugs.
Thanks!!

I assume you are talking about the spider injector unit?
Also, I noticed that Autoaone gave me the wrong spark plugs, so they go back and replaced with the AC Delco double platinum. Should I go iridium instead??
One thing I noticed is that the plugs are wet and that there is gasoline coming out of the exhaust when cold. Why is that happening??
