Last problem.. I swear!
Heater fan only works on high. And then, only sometimes. I have to tap the heater controls sometimes to get it to work. I've changed the resistor pack, this did not help. Sometimes all the fan settings work, sometime, nothing works. Any ideas?

If you can cause the fan to change speeds by tapping on the heater controls, then the problem is probably there -- a bad switch or a bad connection in the control unit connectors.

I have an extra control unit, been offering it for sale on craigslist from time to time:
1999-2002 Sierra, Tahoe, Suburban, Silverado Climate Control.
This climate control is clean, and in good condition. This part controls the heater/ac functions. It is easy to install. Just plug it in, and two screws. The part number is 15054698, and it came from 02 Tahoe. Check this to your vehicle to assure this is the part you require.
I accept cash if you pick up, (money order or paypal if being shipped) add $10 if I mail it to you

Got this working last night. I have a short somewhere. The wires were nicely twisted from the dash into the back of the control module. I untwisted them and put it back in place. Now all the heater controls work.
How do you search a line for an intermittent short?

You'll need an ohmmeter. But if the short is gone after you untwisted the wires, it may be hard to find. Look for missing insulation on the wires.
