hi everyone im new to this site. i have a 99 tahoe with a very bad misfire ive replaced the spider injection after replacing started the truck and it runs as bad as it did before. i noticed last night after we did this that the converter from the driverside was red hot and appeared to be clogged so i removed the converters truck still runs just as bad as before and has a strong unburnt gas smell from exhaust.any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

yes ses light on is a p300 code

 

Is that the only code, and is it blowing black smoke out the exhaust? It could be the cat's need replaced, and is causing an issue with the o2 sensors, however I don't thik at this point it is looking at the o2 sensors.

 

no smoking just a strong fuel smell and i cut the cats out this morning so its just open exhaust right now. im going to pull the plugs in just a few min. i hope there carboned up and i can put plugs in it and go down the road.
