?
New to the forum. Looking for some help regarding an issue with my 03 Tahoe.
Bought the Tahoe (salvage title supposed water damage) about 8 months ago with approx 150k miles. In short I got a great deal so was willing to take a chance etc.
Immediately I changed oil, front/rear differential oil and gasket, transmission fluid ( in pan only) gasket/seal etc. changed plugs, wires,O2 sensors, air filters etc, fuel filter...
and now have approximately 162k on truck with no mechanical problems.
Roday i began hearing a wearing/scraping noise coming from front wheel area especially when braking which Im assuming is sign for normal brake replacement.
Question #1 should I change only front brake pads and or rotors or do back too. Pads only orcin connection withSlotted/ drilled rotors? Someone told me to simply turn rotors that are on already, but I figured new rotors are not that expensive.
Now, perhaps the more important question...A few days before noticing rhe brake issue, i had noticed every once in awhile a hesitation when im gear and taking my foot off the gas.....kind of like if you were driving with the ebrake on. Not all rhe time mind you but from a dead stop you could take your foot off the gas and truck would not or just barely move..seemed ro be laboring in low gear/speed but would stop around 30mph. No overheating smell or noise like something burning etc.
any thoughts or ideas from forum members would be greatly appreciated. Just dont know where to begin looking . also truck is 4x4. Look forward to beimg part of the forum
Thx
