Default AC request signal loss, only with newer calibration of hvac module...

So i have a 2013 suburban, AC started messing up(not getting cold) and based on what i was seeing on the scanner at the time i had decided to replace the hvac module. It fixed the cooling problem and but for some reason made it where the rear ac was directed to floor when it was set on face and vise versa. I decided to program the module thinking maybe it was programmed for a different vehicle. This resulted in the cooling not working properly once again?? The only thing to add is that on the scanner i seem to be loosing the ac request signal at the ecm. Also I dont think it would cause this issue, but the evap sensor wires where damaged and i replaced it but left it outside the air box. surely this wouldnt matter?? PLEASE HELP!!
