So I was going to change my oil in my 2007 Tahoe for the first time... The bottom has full length skid plates so it is hard to see anything under there.... The only bolt I found looked like it was in a funny location.....

I pulled the plug and began draining only to notice after a few seconds and a little more thought that it was the brake fluid plug near the front driver tire.

I since located the oil plug and completed that task... I haven't driven anywhere but have now noticed that the brakes in park are very hard to press.... I am not sure what I have done here

I have searched all over the Internet, but apparently I'm the only on to make this mistake, all I can find it directions for bleeding brakes...
WHAT DO I DO?!?!? Please help, and thank you for your advise!

After more research I may have found that what I drained was the transfer case fluid, i really just don't know

the only access into the brake system is the bleeder screw on the caliper or compression fittings at the flex line and ebcm.....so I have no idea what you may have removed without seeing it.


the brakes will be hard to press if the engine isn't running and the vacuum reserve in the booster is depleted.

 

I'm assuming you probably drained the front differential but yes a picture would make it easier to pinpoint
