Scooter,
He has the 4:10 gear. Believe it or not, the guys with 4:10's get better mileage than us guys with 3:73's.

I have the 3:73's and 9000 miles on mine and I get about 375 miles a tank. Since you have the same gear ratio, and roughly the same miles, I wanted to see what you averaged. I know things like driving conditions and style come into play, but just wanted to get an idea of whether or not I need to slow down a little.
Thanks

Dave,
Aww, this is gonig to be an awesome gear set up. I am going to try the 4 low to the floor as soon as the get installed. I will be able to leave 4 black marks for miles!
As for the gas gauge and accuracy, I find it pretty accurate. However i do agree with the incline/decline paking. It really makes a huge difference what your gauge reads once you start driving off from the slope. it does take a very long time for the gauge to catch up and accurately measure the fuel. But who cares, I dont plan to purposely drive it till it is dry. Just fill her up when she is getting below 1/4 tank.

Dave:
I'm coming up on 30K and don't see much of an improvement anymore. It peaked out around 10-15K. On average now I get around 16, on trips with pure highway driving I get about 19. Last weekend I towed my trailer (6,500lbs.) down to TN and got 8MPG. The funny thing about this is I had the 8100 in my last truck and my Tahoe did better.

I'm going to let you guys in on a little corporate secret:
When the gas gauge gets down to the bottom, stop and get some more gas!
No matter what it does while it's in between that don't matter too much, but when it hits the bottom start looking for a petrol station.
Jason,
What you need to do my friend is park that damn thing for a day or two, I said to "get out and enjoy it" but I didn't tell you to live in the sumbitch. (30k miles??? that's ridiculous!).
